Built in 1871 originally as a single storey the old post office was officially opened in 1883 and was remodelled and extended upon in 1913.

The building now houses Splinter Studios, Wednesbury 2000 Community Forum, Wednesbury Art Club and Adult Education.

With a building this old comes many years of history, not just the building itself but the area surrounding this building.

Over the years many members of the public and former staff members of the post office have reported seeing dark shadowed figures, hearing many unexplained knocks, bangs, voices and sounds from around the building.

With mounting unexplained activity around the building was opened up to select paranormal teams. Upon investigation teams discovered multiple hotspots around the building for activity, such as catballs and KII Meters going off on command and touch activated trip wires going off without a single person around them. With multiple ESTES experiments being conducted, names, people and stories that have since been corroborated by delving into Wednesbury’s history have been discovered.
