Built in 1861, Mill Street Barracks is steeped in military and local history. It has held many branches of the armed forces throughout its life and was involved in numerous wars.

Like many other barracks it has also been used as a morgue during it’s lifespan.

Sightings of apparitions of lost soldiers walking in the building and poltergeist activity has been reported. Figures of nurses and nuns have also been documented over the years. There has even been animal spirits documented at this incredible building steeped in history.

With investigator and visitors alike have reported to being touched and feel like they are being watched, chairs and furniture have been seen to move on their own accord as well as unknown voices around the building and full bodied apparitions have also been reported!
